Juan Blanchard has joined Bistro West as Manager of the popular Carlsbad restaurant located adjacent to West Inn & Suites and West Steak and Seafood. Previously, Blanchard worked at the Four Seasons Residence Club Aviara as Manager of the Food and Beverage Division.
Bringing over ten years of restaurant management experience to Bistro West, Blanchard began his career in 2002 as a Restaurant Assistant Manager, first for the Four Seasons Hotel Santa Barbara, then for the Four Seasons Resort Hualailai. In 2007, he was promoted to General Manager of Argyle Steakhouse at the Four Seasons Resort Aviara which later led to his management position at the Four Seasons Residence Club Aviara.
At Bistro West, Blanchard will be responsible for training operations of the 222-seat restaurant working under Tom Bertrand, General Manager of Bistro West and West Steak and Seafood. Blanchard will also assist in coordinating details for special events held in the West Room.
Designed for a variety of uses, the 750-square foot West Room is a special events venue that can accommodate between 50-80 guests. With extensive wine lists and menu options, the space can be used for a variety of special events including cocktail receptions, rehearsal dinners, conferences, seminars, business meetings, showers, and birthday celebrations.
