vegasLas Vegas Architecture Firm LEO A DALY Wins Two HOSPY Awards

On Saturday, November 22, Las Vegas-based architecture firm LEO A DALY took home two HOSPY awards at a ceremony held at Wynn Las Vegas-one for best Nightclub (Drai’s Beach Club + Nightclub), and one for Best Retail Space (Curios). Both projects are located in The Cromwell, the newly renovated boutique hotel designed by LEO A DALY. They share the awards with project partner Tandem.

LEO A DALY’s receipt of the award bookends a long-term relationship with The Cromwell property going back to the 1970s, when the firm served as the original designer of its original incarnation, The Barbary Coast. The renovation involved the addition of three stories to the hotel in order to accommodate the rooftop pool and dance complex that makes up Drai’s Beach Club + Nightclub. Drai’s is noted for its impressive engineering, its blending of indoor and outdoor spaces, and its spectacular views of the Las Vegas Strip.

The annual HOSPY awards, presented by Las Vegas NEWH The Hospitality Industry Network, honors the best in hospitality design projects. The event also serves as a fundraiser for NEWH’s scholarship program, which promotes the education of eligible students aspiring to enter the hospitality, foodservice, senior living and related industries.
