Orange County restaurateur Andrew Dorsey, in partnership with, Chronic Tacos co-founder Dan Biello, are pleased to announce their new venture, TOWER 48 Newport Beach, slated to open late April 2018. Dorsey and Biello opened the local hotspot SOCIAL Costa Mesa in 2014. This is their second restaurant opening together.
TOWER 48 Newport Beach, a modern beach deli, aims to bring locals and beach goers elevated sandwiches in a fast casual and very instagrammable environment. Offering Cold and Hot Sandwiches, Avocado Toasts, Grab n’ Go Craft Coffees, and unconventional sides like a new take on their well loved Brussel Sprouts from SOCIAL Costa Mesa, Roasted Corn and Tower Fries made with Bacon Jam, Melted American Cheese, Pickled Red Fresnos and Crema. All prepared with organic (when possible) and locally sourced produce and meats. TOWER 48 aims to be a go to spot in Newport Beach for a quick service sandwich that tastes insanely good.
“We see millennial’s doing more Netflix and chill and continuing to spend long days at
the beach for the summer. They may not have time to come into SOCIAL Costa Mesa
for the full dining experience we offer, but now they can taste some our classics from
our SOCIAL Costa Mesa menu at TOWER 48. Satisfying their desire for amazing food
in a fast causal way. They’ll even be able to have it delivered to their homes through the
modern delivery services we will be using” says Dorsey
SOCIAL Costa Mesa Executive Chef, Jose Rubio crafted a menu full of variety and
flavors. The breakfast menu will offer remarkable dishes including Chilaquiles with
Tortilla Chips Tossed in Guajillo Chile and topped with a Fried Egg, Guacamole, Lime
Crema, Micro Cilantro and Cotija Cheese; Avocado Toast with Crême Fraiche, Cherry
Tomatoes, Tarragon, Radish, and Golden Pea Shoots; and Chorizo Burrito with 4505
Chorizo, Cage Free Eggs, Oaxacan Cheese and Crispy Potatoes. Chef Rubio’s lunch
and dinner menu will feature items like a Bahn Mi Sandwich with Marinated Pork,
Kewpie Sriracha Mayo, Pickled Daikon, Carrots, Cilantro, Jalapeño on Fresh Baguette;
Vegetarian Sandwich with Avocado, Cucumber, Sunflower Sprouts, Raw Garlic
Hummus, Heirloom Tomato on Whole Wheat; Brussels Sprouts with Honey Butter and
Roasted Almonds; and Beach Fruit with Papaya, Mango, Pineapple, Jicama, Shaved
Coconut, and Hibiscus.
