Descanso Unveils Three-Course Holiday Pop-Up Dinners December 20 & 27


Descanso Restaurant in Costa Mesa is making spirits bright this season with a three-course Holiday Pop-Up Dinner Menu on Monday, December 20 and 27 from 4-9 p.m. The modern taqueria, known for creative, Central Mexican street-inspired cuisine, also welcomes the return of the Family Style Pozole holiday takeout special available on select dates through January 2, 2022.

Courtesy of Executive Chef Fonzy de Zuniga, the Holiday Pop-Up Dinners feature an elevated, three-course menu of Descanso’s most popular dishes and choice of libation for $35 per person. Start with the Choriqueso Verde, Elote Asado or Clasico Guacamole and select from favorite entrees including the vegetarian Poblano Rajas, flavorful Agave Glazed Salmon or savory Crispy Carnitas Skillet. No dining experience is complete without something sweet—choose from the Flan with hibiscus dust or Tarta de Limon. Pair your meal with one of Descanso’s specialty margaritas like the refreshing Cucumber + Sal, spicy Bad Hombre, or choice of beer or wine. Elevate your family tradition or start a new one with Descanso’s Family Style Pozole, available for takeout on select days through January 2, 2022. Indulge in the traditional Mexican stew for the ultimate cool-weather comfort food. Descanso’s slow-simmered Pozole Rojo is made of hominy, guajillo chile broth, pulled pork, red onion, chile peron, and oregano, and comes with additional fixings to add at home.
