Lisa Ramelow has been proud to serve the Belmont Shore community various spins on penne, linguini, ravioli and pizza from her Second Street restaurant, La Strada, for more than 25 years.

In all of that time, she’s never received a complaint about how accessible the restaurant is for people with disabilities.

That changed last month, when Ramelow — along with nine other owners of businesses on a stretch of Second Street that spans less than half a mile — was served with a lawsuit alleging La Strada was in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
