River Jetty Restaurant Group (RJRG) partners, Joseph “McG” Nichol and Jordan Otterbein are pleased to announce the promotion of Robert Gomez to Executive Chef of A Restaurant and Elvis Morales to Executive Chef of CdM Restaurant. With over 20 years of culinary experience each, Robert and Elvis were elevated from the title of Chef de Cuisine during the restaurants’ transition period of closure to reopening in August 2020.
“We couldn’t have chosen better equipped or more deserving individuals to lead our kitchens,” said Otterbein. “Both Robert and Elvis have played major roles in our restaurants for years and have been instrumental in cooking the food our guests know and love.”
Executive Chef Robert Gomez has been with the A Restaurant family since opening day in 2008 where he started as a broil cook. Working his way up the line, Gomez is honored to now lead the culinary team and share his passion for cooking the restaurant’s finest dishes for loyal A Restaurant guests.
Executive Chef Elvis Morales has been with RJRG for over five years and assisted in the opening of CdM Restaurant in March 2019. Previously, Morales spent four years as a prep cook at A Restaurant during the day while simultaneously working at Mastro’s Steakhouse in the evenings as one of the top grill chefs. Armed with a tremendous work ethic, Morales is grateful for the opportunity to expand his creativity in his new leadership role.
With extensive culinary knowledge and a commitment to perfection, Gomez and Morales continue to deliver the restaurants’ signature dishes and creative seasonal specials utilizing only the highest quality ingredients.
