Real Food Daily Wins 2012 Nature’s Plate People’s Choice Award for LA

The Nature Conservancy,a leading conservation organization working around the world to protect ecologically important lands and waters for nature and people,has polled foodies in the greater Los Angeles area about their favorite sustainable restaurants.Restaurants that serve ingredients that fit some or all of the following criteria could be considered: organic, local, in-season foods, source sustainably managed seafood, orgrass-fed and free-range meat options.Consumers responded with hundreds of nominations, ultimately crowningReal Food Daily restaurant as LA’s Nature’s Plate People’s Choice Winner with nearly 58 percent of the votes.

“Ann Gentry, the creator of Real Food Daily has taken two different California trends – vegetarian foods, and the organic seasonal cooking popularized by Alice Waters of Chez Panisse – and come up with a cuisine that is as interesting and delicious as it is healthful,” declared Bon AppetitMagazine.
