Marianne Danielson has joined Island Hotel as its new senior private events manager, and has been tapped to work with Executive Chef Bill Bracken to oversee the hotel’s recently launched off-site private events division, as well as manage on-site functions and activities for the luxury Newport Beach property.
In her new position, Danielson will use her extensive experience to help grow the hotel’s new off-site private events division – which will focus on social, corporate and philanthropic events – and will also utilize the expertise and contacts she has garnered over the years to forge and cultivate relationships with the local community. Additionally, Danielson will oversee and book off-site events at Oak Creek Golf Club in Irvine, which recently announced that Island Hotel’s Palm Terrace Restaurant & Lounge will manage all of its food and beverage operations starting in January 2012.
“With many years of catering and hospitality experience, as well as successfully working with community and philanthropic organizations, Marianne is ideally suited for this position,” said Richard R. Evanich, managing director of Island Hotel. “Her expertise and contacts will be invaluable as we focus on increasing both on- and off-site catering efforts and expanding our special events clientele.”
