Air France Pays Tribute to Culinary Icon Joël Robuchon

Air France, known for its innovative menus, original selection of wines and tableware worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant, is offering even more quality dining this season. The airline will be offering a new menu in the La Première cabin in memory of renowned Chef Joël Robuchon, who was the world’s most Michelin-starred chef, starting this April.

From April to June 2019, Air France will pay tribute to Joël Robuchon, his culinary genius and ten-year partnership with the company by offering his dishes on the La Première class menu onboard long-haul flights departing from Paris. Each month will present a different selection of his gourmet dishes, offering:

 

In April 2019

• Salmon tartare and caviar appetizer

• Piece of beef braised with miso and its sauce, pipe rigate pasta and tender vegetables 

Supreme of roasted guinea fowl and green peas with orange honey

 

In May 2019

• Salmon tartare and caviar appetizer

• Gently-cooked St. Peter’s fillet in olive oil sauce and eggplant and tomato compote

• Farm poultry and vin jaune juice, sautéed shiitakes and green asparagus

 

In June 2019

• Salmon tartare and caviar appetizer

• Duck parmentier with truffle and potato purée gratin

• Piece of beef braised with miso and its sauce, pipe rigate pasta and tender vegetables

 

Air France is now also offering its customers traveling in the Business cabin the opportunity to indulge in a new cocktail, the “Cocktail Signature”, created in association with the five-star Hotel Lancaster in Paris. Specially made by the head bartender, the cocktail is designed to change to the rhythm of the spring-summer and autumn-winter seasons.

 

For this spring/summer 2019 edition, the cocktail is made with Marie Brizard rosemary liqueur with notes of cherry and lime, mixed with white peach juice, and combined with dark Saint-James rum with a dash of Air France’s signature Champagne.Air France Cocktail

 

Hotel Lancaster in Paris, also partners with Air France in its new Business lounge in Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, offering a specially-designed selection of cocktails that includes Signature cocktail “Un air de Paris, a “Destination” cocktail of the month and a special mocktail in the Balcony (designed by French designer Mathieu Lehanneur.)
