“My family (the original owners of the Royal Hawaiian Charcoal Broiler) with a party of over 20 friends celebrated our early NYE at the “new” Royal Hawaiian Restaurant last evening. The whole experience was FABULOUS! The food and drinks were ONO-ONO, the service is EXCELLENT and the ambience is CHIC & WONDERFUL. This is a modern spin with their own unique twist. It was our first venture into the building since it was sold in 2006 and we will be returning again and again. And to those Lagunatics who haven’t had the pleasure of dining here, please do!! After a five-year hiatus, The Royal Hawaiian has reopened its doors, much to the delight of its local Laguna fan base. A stylish redesign still retains the restaurant’s 60-year-old tiki heritage, with an eclectic mix of vintage surfboards, Hawaiian pinup girls, and puffer fish lamps.
