Cupid, Chef Josh Severson and his team will cast a magical spell at Selanne Steak Tavern this Valentine’s Day. In the chic upstairs dining room, downstairs in the cozy tavern or wine room and on the heated veranda, fine dining and wine loving guests will enjoy an Amuse Bouche of ‘Champagne Gourmand’ with an optional pairing of N.V. Nicholas Feuillatte Brut Reserve Champagne (3 oz).
Then there’s a choice of Bittersweet Scallops, Perfect Pear Salad or Maine Lobster “Hot Pot” accompanied by a choice of supplemental wines – 2014 August Kesseler, ‘R’ Riesling, Kabinett, Germany (3 oz) or 2014 Resonance Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, Oregon (3 oz). The Intermezzo is Blackberry Cabernet Sorbet.
Entrée optional wine selections are a choice of 2015 Rombauer Chardonnay, Carneros, California (3 oz), or 2014 Provenance, Cabernet Sauvignon, Rutherford, California (3 oz) to be paired with Jidori Chicken with parsnip and chartreuse of thigh, Dover Sole with lemon risotto, English peas, caviar and beurre monté or American Wagyu Tenderloin with pommes puree, pickled trumpet mushrooms and bordelaise.
For a splendid gourmet finish, guests may opt for Pavlova or Chocolate Mousse and also opt for supplemental pairing of Warres 10-year-old Tawny Port (2 oz) or Selanne Maple Carmel Barrel Aged Bourbon (2 oz).
