City Place Long Beach offers sweetheart deals for top Valentine’s Day gifts at the more than 37 retail, specialty, entertainment and dining options that range from chocolates and flowers to jewelry and cards, among others. According to the National Retail Association, 54 percent of U.S. consumers plan to celebrate Valentine’s Day this year with total spending expected to reach approximately $17.3 billion. Specifically, 51.2 percent plan on giving a greeting card, 48.7 percent plan on giving candy as a gift, 37.3 percent plan on giving flowers as a gift, 19 percent plan on giving Jewelry as a gift, 15.8 percent plan on giving clothing as a gift and 37 percent plan on celebrating with an evening out.
