RA Sushi in Tustin To Host 3rd Annual Get Your Anaheim Ducks in a Roll

RA Sushi, the unconventional and edgy sushi bar restaurant has invited the Anaheim Ducks to participate in a "sushi-rolling contest" dedicated to benefiting and raising awareness for the Anaheim Ducks Foundation, an organization which supports programs that produce positive change for children and families throughout Southern California by providing educational opportunities, broadening access to the sport of hockey and addressing the health and wellness needs of our community.

This year Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf, two of his teammates and one lucky fan will create original sushi rolls in hopes of taking the “Top Chef” and winning roll title. Want to take on a Ducks player head-to-head in the kitchen? Visit www.anaheimducks.com to bid on the opportunity to become that “one lucky fan” and create your own signature sushi roll alongside the Anaheim Ducks players.

On Monday, Sept. 12, RA will host an event from 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. where the competitors will pair with designated RA Sushi chefs to make their signature rolls that will be sampled by guests and a panel of judges. The winner will be selected based on the most creative name, ingredients, presentation and taste. The winning roll will be placed on a special menu at RA Sushi’s Southland locations (Tustin, Huntington Beach, Chino Hills and Corona). RA Sushi will donate $2 from each winning roll sold during the season, Oct. 11, 2011 through April 7, 2012, to the AnaheimDucks Foundation.

RA Sushi will be offering a complimentary taste of each player’s roll through the duration of the event. The specialty rolls will also be available for purchase. The player’s roll with the highest sales that evening will be known as the “Fan Favorite Roll” and will count for one point on the judges score card. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to help support their favorite player and get a taste of the Anaheim Ducks in the RA!
