Governor Vetoes Bill

Governor Sandoval vetoed AB126. This law would have expanded the scope of the federal menu labeling law creating a nationwide patchwork of regulations. Nevada restaurants will follow the federal standard passed by the Food & Drug Administration as part of the health care law in 2010.

The Nevada Restaurant Association thanks all who called and wrote letters to legislators and the governor. Your efforts contribute to our collective voice. We ask for your continued engagement to help our sector build on our success to create jobs and grow Nevada’s economy.
