Claremont: An Ideal Location for Southern Californian Foodies

Claremont, known for its wide selection of restaurants, is keeping our palates fresh with new, unique venues. Claremont is located in Los Angeles, and receives a high number of international guests who tour the city’s colleges.

“A famous college town with international visitors demands a high level of fine dining experiences,” said a member of the Claremont tourism board, Discover Claremont, Andrew Behnke. “We know tourists come to Claremont for the shows, museums, trips into the mountains, festivals, regional events or when visiting the colleges. Now is a great time to come Discover Claremont for its dining as the city is emerging as a culinary center for Eastern Los Angels County and the Inland Empire.”

Most of the city’s restaurants are located within the Claremont Village, and those who wish to visit them can take full advantage of the city’s free parking. Guests can stroll down the shaded, tree-lined streets, stop in one of the many shops, and visit one of these tasty eateries, like the popular Italian restaurants Aruffo’s Italian Cuisine, La Piccoletta, and the award-winning Tutti Mangia, with Chef Jose Ruiz. Other restaurants serve food varying from French to Afghan.

For those who want to be entertained while dining, stop in to Hip Kitty Jazz and Fondue, or belly dancing at Casablanca Bar and Grill in the Packing House. For a mixture of Broadway and fine dining, visit Ben D. Bollinger’s Candlelight Pavilion Dinner Theatre, a few blocks outside of the village, and to enjoy a dueling piano show those interested can visit the exciting PianoPiano next to the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Claremont.
