Big Bear Lake Brewing Company opens its doors to the public Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 5 p.m. The grand opening celebration includes a ribbon-cutting ceremony and an introduction to the brewery’s line of craft beers and gourmet pub-style fare, including free tapas for attending guests.

Big Bear Lake Brewing Company serves six different craft beers on tap such as honey blonde ale, brown ale, Hefeweizen-style beer, porter, Indian pale ale, orange wheat, and seasonal ales. Guests can enjoy beers in pint glasses, tasting flight samples or in gallon “growler” jugs for to go orders. The brewmaster is Ron VandenBroeke, who is a seasoned brewer with more than 25 years of experience brewing craft beers. VandenBroeke has won numerous awards for his distinctive recipes, and he plans to continue the tradition of quality beer making in Big Bear. Once the brewery gets established VandenBroeke and Stone plan to bottle the brews and distribute in California and Nevada including some Las Vegas casinos.

Big Bear Lake Brewing Company offers two full bars. In addition to quality craft brews the pub serves premium liquors, domestic and imported bottled beers and a selection of wines that includes Stone Summit wines. Some of the liquors that Big Bear Lake Brewing Company carries are very distinct, such as a single barrel of Jack Daniels that is hand selected at the Jack Daniels distillery in Tennessee by Big Bear Lake Brewing Company Owner David Stone.

Big Bear Lake Brewing Company is open daily for lunch and dinner with a gourmet pub-style menu that offers a selection of appetizers, entrees and brick oven pizza. Saturdays and Sundays the pub is open for breakfast.

Big Bear Brewing Company provides eight big screen TVs for sporting events, the second floor of the two story building offers lake view seating, and the pub is ADA compliant for handicap access on both floors. The pub is kid friendly and there is an outdoor area for pets. Also, the brewery offers complimentary shuttle service on the weekends.

“We will pick you up and bring you to the pub, and afterwards we’ll drive you back for free,” said Stone.

Big Bear Brewing Company is located in Big Bear Village at 40827 Stone Road (Pine Knot Avenue is the cross street). To inquire about general information including operating hours call 909-878-0500.
