Sushi Ii Introduces New Omakase Menus to Celebrate the Return of Indoor Dining

Sushi Li

Sushi Ii in Newport Beach has reopened for indoor dining with an Omakase Menu. Master Chef Susumu Ii presents all-new Omakase options and upgrades to takeout offerings. Rooted in centuries of tradition, the menu at Sushi Ii pays homage to the fading art of Kansai-style pressed sushi, with dishes reflecting Chef Ii’s washoku training in Osaka and decades spent mastering the traditional art of sushi.

Reserved exclusively for Omakase diners, the sushi counter’s unique minimalist design allows guests to become fully immersed in Chef Ii’s precision and meticulous attention to detail. Guest can observe the art of nigirikata as each piece of sushi is uniquely cut and crafted to enhance the flavor and texture of the fish. Chef Ii offers three Omakase experiences, Oribe, Bizen, and Karatsu, each named after a distinct type of Japanese ceramic. Omakase menu offerings range in price from $150 – $200+ per person and can be found online here.

Guests can continue to enjoy Sushi Ii from the comfort of their homes with a limited takeout menu. Available for pre-order and pickup, Chef Ii has elevated to-go offerings with premium additions to the Deluxe Chirashi, which includes toro, uni, ikura and abalone, depending on availability. Chef Ii will continue to offer Kansai-style to-go favorites, including hako-zushi and Mackerel rod-shaped sushi. Sushi Ii will close to the public during lunch but continue to offer Omakase for parties of four or more and to-go a-la-carte options for parties of 10 or more.

Sushi Ii is located at Mariner’s Pointe (100 West Coast Hwy, Newport Beach) and is open Tuesday- Sunday for dinner with reservation times available from 5:00 p.m. – 8 p.m. For more information, please visit www.sushi-ii.com or connect with Sushi Ii on Instagram at @sushi_iirestaurant.
