OCC Hot Food Team members: Zack Evans (Westminster), Kristin Friedersdorf, (Costa Mesa) Henry Hernandez (Aliso Viejo) Kevin Carpintero (Lake Forest) Elizabeth Mendoza (Santa Ana), Annette Alvarado (Anaheim) and Coach, Chef Bill Barber (CEC) won 1st place in the 2016 American Culinary Federation’s State Student Team Hot Food Competition.
The competition took place on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at the Arts Institute of California, Hollywood Campus. Team OCC earned 88.5 points (90 is a gold), beating out the Arts Institute of Hollywood, who took the bronze.
The Team will begin practicing next week and start preparing for the Competition in Chicago in early February, where they will face the other State winners from the West.
Team OCC will be accepting donations and support through the OCC foundation. All donations are TAX DEDUCTIBLE.
