The OC Health Care Agency (HCA), in partnership with Chairwoman Michelle Steel and Vice Chair Andrew Do of the Orange County Board of Supervisors, will present a Food Safety Seminar on October 5 in the City of Garden Grove.

“I’m excited to help bring Orange County restaurant owners and managers together with representatives from HCA’s Environmental Health division to participate in this first-of-its-kind educational event,” said Chairwoman Steel, 2nd District. “This unique, in-person approach continues to strengthen an ongoing dialogue between the County of Orange and our business community with the shared goal of protecting the health and wellbeing of dining patrons.”

The seminar will take place at the Garden Grove Community Center at 11300 Stanford Avenue, Garden Grove, CA  92840 on Thursday October 5, 2017 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for restaurant professionals to learn, directly from HCA Health Inspectors, how to achieve successful restaurant inspections and earn the coveted Award of Excellence for food safety and sanitation practices,” said Vice Chair Andrew Do, 1st District. “We’re continuing the County’s tradition of empowering our food establishments with the information and resources they need to provide quality service to residents and visitors alike.”

Topics to be discussed include: how to safely serve the public; understanding the inspection process; achieving an Award of Excellence; and a question-and-answer session. Translation services will be provided in Spanish, Vietnamese and as needed.
