No Kid Hungry and Tommy Bahama Partner to Fight Childhood Hunger in America

1202

For the fifth year, Tommy Bahama is partnering with No Kid Hungry to fight childhood hunger in America. Donations through the Dine Out for No Kid Hungry effort ensure that every child gets the necessary nourishment they need to grow strong and learn.  Through the generosity of their retail, restaurant and ecommerce guests, Tommy Bahama raised nearly $200,000  for No Kid Hungry in 2016. This year, guests are once again invited to take part in the fight against hunger at all Tommy Bahama Restaurants, full-priced U.S. retail stores, and tommybahama.com during the month of September.

Guests visiting any Tommy Bahama Restaurant or full priced U.S. retail location (as well as online at tommybahama.com) throughout the month of September will be given the opportunity to make a $5 donation to No Kid Hungry in exchange for a $20 promotional award card, redeemable at any Tommy Bahama Restaurant, full-priced retail location, or tommybahama.com from October 1st– October 31st.  For restaurant guests who choose to donate $1, Tommy Bahama will provide an orange wrist inscribed with “Make Life One Long Weekend.™” while supplies last.

Dine Out for No Kid Hungry is a national fundraising program held every September that brings thousands of restaurants and millions of consumers together to help raise funds for this often over-looked issue.

All funds generated are used to raise awareness about child hunger in the U.S.; create public-private partnerships that align kids with the resources they need; support nutrition programs such as school breakfast and summer meals; and educate kids and their families on how to cook healthy meals with limited resources.
