A message from Marc Ghoukassian regarding Chef Gstrein’s departure.
We wish Chef Gstrein the best of luck in his endeavors. We are incredibly lucky to have an amazing kitchen staff, including Sous Chef’s Archie Montoya and Gabriel Aguilar, who have been with Bayside since its opening in 1999. They are more than ready to tackle the busy summer season, kicking it off with making some updated tweaks to the menu, including an improved crab cake, a special Summer Sunday Supper featuring a prime rib dinner, as well as continuing the Steakhouse Thursday tradition. Of course, Bayside will continue to serve staff and guest favorites at happy hour, brunch and dinner. We continue to celebrate an amazing 20 years in Newport Beach this year, and invite everyone in to see how our staff’s dedication has made us a neighborhood fixture for the last two decades. We are incredibly thankful for our great guests – many who have become friends – who have supported us through the years, and we’re looking forward to another 20 years in the Orange County dining community.
