Phil’s BBQ closed escrow on a new building in Temecula to accommodate its fifth free-standing restaurant location (in addition to its three outposts at Petco Park, the soon to open location at Sycuan Resort & Casino, and a location at the San Diego International Airport).
With an overflow of comments petitioning the chain to open a restaurant north of San Diego, Phil’s BBQ is excited to kick-off their newest project and look forward to being a part of the Temecula community for many years to come.
“I am thrilled at the opportunity to expand the Phil’s BBQ brand north of San Diego County,” said Phil Pace, owner of Phil’s BBQ. “We have been looking forward to opening a location in Temecula, and we are very excited for what’s to come.”
An exciting remodel is planned for the 6,342-square-foot site at 40830 Winchester Rd., Temecula, CA. The new restaurant will feature a state of the art AV system, brand new bar, and fully remodeled dining room and kitchen. A grand opening is planned for early fourth quarter of 2019.
“We are incredibly excited to bring our Award-Winning Mesquite Grilled BBQ to our first out-of-the-county location, and are looking forward to getting started on this project,” said Kevin Sheehan, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
The iconic San Diego restaurant has been featured in Forbes’ “‘Best Restaurants in America, according to travelers,” been voted best BBQ in San Diego and was named San Diego’s most reviewed business on Yelp.
