Join Christina Nelson of Demeter Bread & Pastry for a two hour whole-grain sourdough bread demonstration, discussion, and tasting. Learn how to start and maintain a sourdough culture, how to select flour for flavor, and the step-by-step process of how to bake your own sourdough bread at home. Learn why the milling process is so important, and taste the difference between varieties of wheat and other grains. Sample fresh sourdough bread and take home recipes to make it yourself in your own kitchen! Light refreshments will be served.
Class Fees: $55 (Includes Whole-Grain Pancake Mix with recipe to make sourdough pancakes)
Must be 16 years of age or older
There is a $5 cancellation fee if you would like to cancel your spot more than 48 hours prior to the start of class. There will be NO REFUNDS given for cancellations within 48 hours of the start of class.
As with all products and classes at Fermentation Farm, MEMBERS ONLY. Anyone interested in attending who is not currently a member may purchase a membership the night of the class.
