What better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than with a romantic waterfront dining experience for you and that special person in your life?At least that’s the sentiment of one local critically acclaimed dining establishment.The Back Bay Bistro at Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort will “spread the love ” this Valentine’s weekend by offering special brunch and dinner menus available Feb 13 & 14.Space is limited at the bayside eatery and reservations are highly recommended, announced Dunes General Manager and Executive Vice President Andrew Theodorou.The 3-course dinner menu is priced at $35 per person and $19 per child 12 and under which will feature such entrees as Angus beef medallions, Chicken Scaloppini, Baked Dover sole and fettuccini a la Checca.The meal will begin with a choice of the Bistro salad or lobster bisque and is capped off with a chocolate mousse.Brunch will be served Feb 13 & 14 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. with such favorite items as prime rib sliced fresh at the carving station, build-your-own omelets with a nearly endless array of ingredients at the ready, scrambled eggs, French toast, fresh fruit, various salad offerings, the Bistro’s award-winning seafood chowder and more.Sunday’s brunch is slightly more elaborate with such additions as pasta and Belgian waffle stations, shrimp and King crab offerings, international and domestic cheeses and a chocolate fountain.Brunch is $27.50 ($21.94 on Saturdays) for adults.Prices are the same for both days for youngsters — $12 for those 5-10 and $6 for those under 5.Reservations may be made by calling (949) 729-1144;visit www.backbaybistronewportbeach.com.
