Join Surfas in welcoming Chef Colleen Johnson to our popular professional baking cooking class series, hands-on cooking classes. Chef Johnson will guide you through both basic and advance recipes which are essential to a great baker. Through the 4 weeks students will learn creams, sauces, mousses, cookies, and pies. You will also focus on quick and yeast dough, biscuits, pate a choux, and scones. Chef Johnson will also guide you through filling, frosting, and garnishing a genoise cake. Designed for all skill levels, this class is perfect for those who want to take their baking skills to the next level. Each student will be given a white chef jacket (a $27.00 value). Please wear each week. *Please note each class is 4 1/2 hours. Week 1 – Creams, Sauces, Moussse, Pies and Tarts, Week 2 – Quick and Yeast Dough, Week 3 – Pate a Choux, Cookies, and Glazes, Week 4 – Cake, Buttercream, Ganache, and Fillings.
