Hot’s Kitchen in Hermosa Beach joins forces with the South Bay Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation to raise much needed awareness and funds for the Rise Against Plastics (RAP) Program. Kona beer served in complimentary customized pint glasses will be sold – $6 for the first beer, and $5 for refills – proceeds benefit the RAP Program.
The Rise Against Plastics Program educates the public on the impact single-use plastics have on marine environments, and how individuals can make changes in their daily lives that will stem the flow of plastics into the environment. “Plastic is the most common type of marine litter world wide. Educating individuals to reduce their plastic footprint starts with community events like this,” says Jeff Berting, Chairman of the South Bay Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation. Reservations for the event for parties of eight or more are recommended and can be made by emailing [email protected]
