Iconic diner Pann ‘, a Los Angeles landmark showcasing classic Googie architecture along with “just wonderful food,” will be open by popular demand on Christmas Day for the first time in 53 years.
Pann ‘ owner Jim Poulos, whose parents opened the eatery in 1958 and whose mother Rena, 94, still comes to the restaurant each day to meet and greet customers, will be offering a number of Holiday Feast specials to celebrate. Customers are encouraged to place orders well in advance of the 25th.
“Well be offering hot, ready-to-eat holiday feasts for take-out in addition to serving our regular menu throughout the day on Christmas,” says Poulos. “From our Boneless Roast Prime Rib that Chef Patrick slow-cooks in our Alto Sham ovens for 12 hours to our Whole Roast Turkey that we brine overnight in herbs, citrus juices and wine, our holiday feasts are very popular as are our side dishes from cornbread stuffing to candied yams to our house made cranberry sauce,” he adds.
Holiday Feast pricing is as follows:
- Boneless Roast Prime Rib complete feast, $129; with horseradish and au jus only,$99.99
- Whole Roast Turkey complete feast, $109.00; without sides, $79
- Herb and Honey Baked bone-in Ham complete feast, $109.00; without sides $79
