The Loft chefs Michael Campbell and Lee Smith have collaborated with Stag’s Leap Cellars’ winemaker Marcus Notaro to present a masterpiece meal starting with an hors d’oeuvres reception and followed by five courses artfully paired with outstanding world-class cabernet sauvignons and other wines from the historic 48-year-old Napa Valley winery.
Notaro, who has been the winemaker at Stag’s Leap since 2013, will be at The Loft to interact with food and wine lovers as they enjoy a first course of Sole Meunière paired with 2015 Karia Chardonnay. Then 2002 Fay Cabernet Sauvignon accompanies Potato Gnocchi served with purple artichoke and morel cream. Braised Pork Cheek with golden carrots, fava beans and pommes frites is matched with 2015 Artemis Cabernet Sauvignon. The next course is New York Steak with zucchini, white asparagus and bordelaise sauce and paired with 2014 Cask 23 Cabernet Sauvignon. The dessert of White Chocolate Spiral with California Citrus is complemented with a glass of 2016 Ptolemy Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc.
