FIG & OLIVE (Newport Beach, Melrose Place) is opting for an elegant – rather than eerie – Halloween this year with an exclusive three course prix fixe dinner menu ($45++*) for guests to savor on Saturday, October 31, 2015. The menu will embody founder, Laurent Halasz’s passion for exquisite olive oils from the French Riviera, and each plate will be brimming with autumnal flavors including Butternut Squash & Chestnut Soup and Riviera Salmon with braised endives.
Additional new offerings include:
· Insalata Di Fregola – pearls of fregola sarda pasta tossed with roasted butternut squash, celery, mint, parsley, picked red onion, dried cranberries, and citrus dressing
· Rosemary Lamb Chops – smoked lamb chops paired with a bouquet of Herbs de Provence, goat cheese & chive gnocchi, braised eggplant with honey & thyme, and rosemary garlic olive oil
· Chestnut Mousse with Amarena Cherry – smooth chestnut espuma mousse over walnut meringue, cherry sorbet, and Amarena cherry coulis, garnished with candied walnuts
