Anqui’s July Gourmonday Dinner Celebrates Koreatown
AnQi’s July exclusive dining experience for an intimate group of gourmands will celebrate Koreatown, with an elaborate menu created by Chefs Helene An, Ron Lee and Tony Nguyen.
Each of the five courses features a pairing selected by House of An’s advanced level sommeliers. The dinner takes place at the chef’s table and is limited to 18 guests (menu follows).
Cuisine for a Cause: 20 percent of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to Costa Mesa- based SPIN: Serving People In Need.
Restaurateur Elizabeth An and her talented culinary team are at it again: Together, they have created a monthly exclusive dining experience for an intimate group of gourmands who are willing to go off the beaten path. Elizabeth An has added a ‘cuisine for a cause’ component to the dinners: 20 percent of gross sales will go to a designated local non-profit.
The pre-sold dinners, limited to 18 guests who will dine at the private Chef’s Table, will take place the first Monday of the month at AnQi. Each menu allows the House of An chefs to take a walk on the wild side by creating epicurean experiences that ranges from the eclectic culture of street fare to the most progressive of culinary styles. ‘GourMonday gets its namesake from a play on words for the French word ‘˜gourmand’, or food enthusiast,’ explains Elizabeth An. ‘These one-of-a -kind dining experiences will vary from the extravagant to the eclectic, but all will have one thing constant: an adventure with every dinner.’
Future GourMondays will have a collaboration component with guest or pop-up chefs with different global cuisine backgrounds (and strong foodie followings) to further communicate the House of An’s identity as a leader in fusion cuisine as pioneered by Helene An. The menus will also be paired with exceptional libations by House of An’s award-winning mixologists. Prices will vary according to the menu, but will include the spirits pairings, plus tax and gratuity.
