Grimaldi’s Pizzeria Partners with Girl Scouts Greater Los Angeles to Provide Cookie Cheesecakes during the Month of February in Conjunction with Girl Scout Cookie Season

Welcoming the Chocolate Mint Cheesecake with Thin Mints and the Caramel Coconut Cheesecake with Samoas with portion of the proceeds donated to Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria, famous for its award-winning, hand-tossed, coal-fired, brick oven pizzas and calzones, is pleased to announce its first year of partnership with Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles. To celebrate the Girl Scout Cookie season in Los Angeles, Grimaldi’s will introduce the Chocolate Mint Cheesecake with Thin Mints along with the Caramel Coconut Cheesecake with Samoas. The Chocolate Mint Cheesecake is a chocolate mint cheesecake with pieces of Thin Mints cookies mixed in, a Thin Mints crust and topped with whipped cream. The Caramel Coconut Cheesecake will be a caramel cheesecake topped with caramel glaze and toasted coconut, on top of a Samoas cookie crust and finished with a chocolate drizzle and whipped cream. These special cheesecakes will be available at Grimaldi’s El Segundo location for $5 a slice while supplies last. For every slice of cheesecake sold of the two Girl Scout cookie-flavored cheesecakes $1 will be donated to Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles.

“We are pleased to partner with Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles,” said Cory Lattuca, Food & Beverage Director/Corporate Chef for Grimaldi’s. “With the addition of the Caramel Coconut Cheesecake with Samoas along with the iconic Chocolate Mint Cheesecake with Thin Mints, we invite the community to taste these cheesecakes extraordinaire, where every delicious bite benefits girls throughout Los Angeles.”

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria will offer the cheesecakes during the month of February, while supplies last, and will celebrate the Girl Scout Cookie Program – the largest girl-led financial literacy program in the country. The program teaches girls goal-setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics.

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria will continue to offer its traditional dessert menu for guests to choose from which includes: Tiramisu, Housemade Cheesecakes-New York Style or Oreo Cookie-priced at $5 each and Grimaldi’s Famous Cannoli for $4.50.

About Grimaldi’s Pizzeria:

In the world of pizza, Grimaldi’s is an institution that has garnered more awards than any other pizzeria in the country with more celebrity sightings than most 5-star restaurants. Using only the freshest ingredients, a “secret recipe” pizza sauce, handmade mozzarella cheese and dough, Grimaldi’s serves traditional pizza (as it began in Naples, Italy) in an upscale yet casual, family oriented pizzeria. The intense heat of the oven evenly bakes the pies to create Grimaldi’s famous crispy and smoky thin crust that Zagat has voted best pizza year after year.
