Tangata, housed in the mission-style courtyard of the Bowers Museum, presents a special holiday menu featuring California cuisine. Highlights from the menu include seared apple wood smoked bacon wrapped diver scallops served with forbidden black rice and basil nage butter; main course items such as grilled flat-iron steak with caramelized onion mashed potatoes, garlic broccoli and cabernet sauce. To round out the Easter menu, guests can choose between the Chocolate Egg – chocolate, caramel and peanut cake, rice puff, peanut butter ice cream, caramel crunchy tuile with a vanilla saffron sauce and Strawberry Fields – strawberry, lemon and basil cake with raspberry sorbet, lemon crumble, chocolate crunch and strawberry mint sauce.
