Surfas Culinary District will be rolling out cooking camps for teens and children who have aspirations of becoming future chefs and pastry chefs.The establishment that has become known industry-wide as “chef’s paradise,” will open its Test Kitchen to youth with advanced cooking classes preparingdishes like Whole Roasted Chicken with Pistachio Pistou and Caramelized Onion and Gruyere Potato Gratin, as well as Chocolate-Glazed e’clairs Profiteroles.Boasting complex menus that will both engage and challenge, the participants will receive hands-on experience and instruction on the fundamentals of gourmet cooking at a pace perfect for the young audience.

Bring in your future pastry chefs for two fun-filled days of baking! In this hands-on class we will teach your bakers how to turn versatile Pi¢te i¢ Choux into e’clairs, Profiteroles, and Gougeres.We will make puff pastry from scratch to enjoy Palmiers and a delicious Seasonal Berry Pie.Our instructor will also teach your teens the fundamental of piping, creating pastry cream, and glazing pastries. This cooking camp is for ages 12 to 17 and recommended for those who already love to bake and are looking for a challenge. As a plus, each student will go home with their very own Surfas apron!
