Surfas Culinary District will be rolling out cooking camps for teens and children who have aspirations of becoming future chefs and pastry chefs.The establishment that has become known industry-wide as “chef’s paradise,” will open its Test Kitchen to youth with advanced cooking classes preparingdishes like Whole Roasted Chicken with Pistachio Pistou and Caramelized Onion and Gruyere Potato Gratin, as well as Chocolate-Glazed e’clairs Profiteroles.Boasting complex menus that will both engage and challenge, the participants will receive hands-on experience and instruction on the fundamentals of gourmet cooking at a pace perfect for the young audience.

Bring in your future chefs for two fun-filled days of cooking! In this hands-on class our instructor will teach your teens how to caramelize onions to make a delicious gratin, roast and carve a whole chicken, and make crepes from scratch.They will also work with yeast dough to create fococcia, make a bechamel sauce, and assemble lasagna with spinach pasta dough from scratch. This cooking camp is for ages 12 to 17 and recommended for those who already love to cook and are looking for a challenge.
