Charles Heidsieck champagne is one of the most recognized by the profession. The awards belong to the cellar masters who, over the course of the past two decades, have been named Sparkling Winemaker of the Year thirteen times in the International Wine Challenge.
The champagne too have been awarded 11 Grand Or medals, 101 Gold medals (37 between 2008 and 2011), 25 Silver medals and some 32.
On Febuary 11th, we’ll be tasting from their significant collection, with rare, in-person backstories and wine notes on each of the offerings.
We’ll begin with Brut Reserve. A multi-vintage worthy of a prestige cuvee, then move to Rose Reserve, powerful and stylish, and then try their 1999 Rose an exceptional one in a legendary vintage and of course for the finale a masterpiece from the Cote des Blancs in a legendary vintage, BLANC DES MILLÃ‰NAIRES 1995, 17 years’ worth of complexity and yet so fresh.
Since it is Valentine’s Day Week Chef Amar Santana has reached the deepest of his love for the food and created exquisite courses for each of these legendary wines.
