M RESORT TO CELEBRATE CHINESE NEW YEAR WITH SPECIAL MENU ITEMS AND TRADITIONAL DRAGON AND LION DANCES ON FEB. 19, 2015

M Resort Spa Casino will commemorate the Year of the Sheep with a Chinese New Year celebration to include dragon and lion dances, festive decorations and special menu items.

On Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015, at 6 p.m., the Forbes Four Star M Resort will host a traditional good luck Chinese dragon and lion dance. Performed by the Lohan School of Shaolin, a team of 30 dancers will perform the traditional ceremony to ward off evil spirits and bring good fortune as they animate a 63-foot dragon with graceful, undulating movements. The assembly, which will also include adult and baby lion dancers, happy Buddhas, musicians and festive flags, will parade throughout the casino, beginning and ending in the hotel lobby with a traditional performance.

M Resort will continue to usher in the Lunar New Year with festive decor throughout the resort including customary welcome banners, orange trees with red envelopes and Chinese lanterns on display. Studio B Buffet will serve a variety of Asian favorites beginning Thursday, Feb. 19 through Wednesday, Feb. 25. Selections will include lion’s head meatballs with Bok Choy, poached chicken with ginger and scallions, beef lo mein, sweet and sour pork, chicken lettuce wraps, spinach and bamboo shoots, spring rolls and Chinese almond cookies.
