OC Wine Mart & Deli tasted through some amazing wines last Saturday! This Friday, they will be featuring another great set of wines from the Wagner family in Part 2 of the Caymus Tasting. (You don’t have to participate in Part 1 to join Part 2.)
Charlie Wagner produces fruity and crowd-pleasing Conundrum wines with grapes from all over California. The off-dry Conundrum White is a perfect pairing with Asian cuisine including Sushi and Thai food. Charlie’s pet project is Red Schooner – a rich, dark Malbec made from grapes grown in the Andes Mountains of Argentina, shipped to Napa Valley and produced in the supple Caymus style.
Jenny Wagner is winemaker for Emmolo Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot. The Emmolo Merlot is made in a full-bodied Caymus style that any Cabernet lover would enjoy. The Grand Durif is their Petite Sirah from the up and coming Suisun Valley. This wine is loaded with blueberry and black fruits, it’s like having Blueberry Pie in a Glass!
The Wagner Family will not be able to join us, however, Wine Educator Matthew O’Malley (CSW, CSS, WSET 2) will be sharing his knowledge of the Wagner wines, vineyards and winemaking techniques with us.
OC Wine Mart & Deli will be offering a Tasting Pack of 4 full-sized wines for each part of the tasting. Optional Cheese Pairing $30.
