To celebrate its 6-year anniversary, SOL Cocina will be hosting a weeklong tribute to the Super Taco, which gained its first dose of fame when it originally debuted on Chef Deborah Schneider’s menu in 2009. Beginning Tuesday, September 15th through Friday, September 18th, guests will be able to enjoy a special Super Taco available from 5 p.m. to close each day. The week’s specials will culminate on Friday, with Chef’s Deb’s most €œsuper€ taco to date, featuring a Housemade Blue Corn Masa Gordita topped with the most tender Red Chile Beef Shortribs and Avocado Salsa Taquero.
Taking her cue from roadside stalls in Baja, where taqueros serve fresh and inventive food, Chef Deb continues to shake up and recombine traditional Mexican flavors in ways that dazzle the taste buds. Following are her Super Taco features created exclusively for the celebration:
