HUNTINGTON BEACH, FEBRUARY 2016 – Huntington Beach’s solita Tacos & Margaritas will celebrate its 2nd Anniversary on Thursday, February 11th by offering its Happy Hour pricing all day and then kicking off weekly Tequila Thursdays. The inaugural Tequila Thursday will feature something extra special: its very own solita Single Barrel Reposado Tequila from Casa Noble’s Tequila distillery, hand selected by Partners Rich Howland and Matt Baumayr, and Beverage Director Colin Pflugradt.

During the day-long Anniversary Party, guests may enjoy Happy Hour throughout the restaurant with solita’s signature house margarita, frozen house margarita and skinny margarita made with fresh citrus juices, agave and 100% blue agave tequilas for $6 each, alongside $4 and $5 culinary menus of solita specialty tacos featuring wood-grilled and oak-roasted chicken, and juicy pork carnitas.

$5 Two Oak-Roasted Chicken Tacos; Two Pork Carnitas Tacos; Two Chorizo, Sweet Potato & Bacon Tacos; Three Chicken Taquitos with Guacamole, Salsa Fresca, Cotixa & Crema; Castle Rock Chardonnay; Jade Mountain Merlot; and Well Drinks
$4 Naked Guacamole (add $2 for solita Guacamole); Two Wood-Grilled Chicken Street Tacos; Two Crispy Fish Tacos; and Two Tofu Tacos
TEQUILA THURSDAY ANNIVERSARY EVENT – 6PM-8PM
From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. that evening, guests are invited to experience Tequila Thursday and enjoy a complimentary tasting of solita’s Single Barrel Reposado Tequila in the bar area, and then enjoy the featured tequila all night for half-off the normal price.
In addition, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., guests may enjoy a variety of solita signature items for $2, including Naked Guacamole, Three Taquitos, Dessert Churros, Featured Draft Beer, and Frozen Beer.
“This is actually our ninth barrel of the Single Barrel Reposado and we have been blending and serving the preceding barrels at our sister restaurant SOL Cocina for a number of years now,” explains Managing Partner Matt Baumayr, who has always made it a point to provide guests with a unique experience. “This tequila is great served neat or in a margarita – it has hints of orange peel, milk chocolate, fresh ground coffee, and cooked agave. The front of the palate has a very approachable almost soft sweetness with the typical notes of vanilla and butterscotch, but with additional flavors of toasted oak and cedar. The finish is smooth and lingering with a zing of heat before it drops off. It’s definitely worth coming out to Tequila Thursday to give it a try!”
WHAT IS TEQUILA THURSDAY?
Tequila Thursday is a weekly event during which guests enjoy a complimentary tasting of a featured tequila every Thursday from 6-8 p.m. They can then enjoy the featured tequila all night for half-off the normal price. The event takes place in the bar area and guests will be served on a first come, first serve basis. Following is the schedule for upcoming events:
