Hansen Lee brings over 15 years of experience within the culinary industry to his role as executive chef of the all-new Monarch Bay Beach Club. Chef Lee will oversee food and beverage operations, menu development and spearhead the opening of the newest food and beverage outlet at AAA Five Diamond-rated Monarch Beach Resort.
Prior to joining Monarch Bay Beach Club’s culinary team, Chef Lee was an innovative kitchen expert at some of the finest luxury hotels around the world. He began his career as a line cook at The Peninsula Chicago, before heading west to California where he held several prominent chef positions in Beverly Hills, Huntington Beach and Los Angeles. Notably, Lee served as chef de cuisine at The Langham Huntington Hotel and Spa as well as executive chef at Sheraton Grand Los Angeles Downtown, taking the lead of the culinary team at District on the Bloc restaurant.
Lee carries an Associate of Arts degree in Culinary Arts from Le Cordon Bleu in Chicago where he was awarded the James Beard Foundation and Charlie Trotter Culinary Education scholarships. In 2011, he was a competing chef on NBC’s “America’s Next Great Restaurant.”
