Executive Chef Charlie McKenna was taught the secrets of his Grandma Lillie’s unique sauces as a young boy and continued to sharpen his skills as a barbeque master with his father Quito while traveling the country to compete in barbeque competitions. Winning the coveted Memphis-in-May World Championship Barbeque Competition for his pulled pork, it’s safe to say you’d be a fool not to order up a pulled pork sandwich upon a visit to the Lillie’s Q Brea location. Slow-smoked for over eight hours in McKenna’s famous Carolina Dirty dry rub, the sandwich will arrive at your table on a buttery Brioche bun dressed in nothing but its natural juices. Be sure to slather it up with one of the six different style sauces that are provided on the table or try it the way a real southerner would: Southern Style (with coleslaw on the sandwich).
