A taste of Sicily arrives in Santa Monica with O+O Sicilian Kitchen & Bar, opening Friday, Nov. 18, 2016 on the corner of Ocean Ave. and Olympic Dr., one block from the Santa Monica Pier. O+O offers modern Sicilian cuisine with a California flair, serving lighter versions of traditional Italian dishes made with local ingredients. The new neighborhood restaurant and bar also features an outdoor patio, handcrafted cocktails, wines on tap and an extensive wine list of Italian and California varietals in a sleek urban setting.
O+O features a modern aesthetic combined with an old-world Italian influence, designed in partnership with IDEA Interiors, renowned restaurant architects who have completed more than 200,000 square feet of commercial and residential properties around the world. Murals from Sicilian artist, Vincenzo Magno, accent the space. The bar is covered in a black shiny tile frame, and the interior has high ceilings to mirror the modern beach vibe of the Seychelles complex above the restaurant. The patio features market lighting, fire pit and an intimate, but cozy feel.
As the neighborhood’s newest spot for delicious Sicilian food, cocktails and after work happy hour, O+O offers a vibe that’s casual but flavors that are upscale. The restaurant is the perfect place to hang out with friends on the patio, host a celebratory dinner or grab drinks at the bar.
O+O will be open from 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m. from Sunday-Thursday and 11:30 a.m. to 12 a.m. on Friday and Saturday for the late night crowd, and is located at 1705 Ocean Ave. (entrance on Olympic Dr.), and will offer valet parking on Olympic Dr.
