New to Center Street Promenade, the Japanese bakery offers a curated selection of espresso, tea, pastries and more. Bread is baked fresh daily from a special blend of Hokkaido wheat flour, a mix of five different kinds of wheat made specifically for Okayama Kobo and shipped directly from Japan. As a result, the bread is light and soft inside made from dough that has no additives or preservatives. Customers can enjoy more than 30 different selections of savory and sweet breads hot from the oven, including a “baked curry pan” made with an original Japanese beef curry filling and bread crumb panko. Customers are also invited to enjoy sandwiches like chicken katsu and smoked salmon, as well as organic coffee and tea from Groundworks.
