Sanrio, the global lifestyle brand best known for pop icon Hello Kitty, has announced the opening of the first Hello Kitty Mini Cafe. The latest concept in Sanrio’s growing dining and retail repertoire, the Hello Kitty Mini Cafe will provide guests with delicious treats in a fast-casual setting, inviting them to conveniently pop in & out in the midst of their busy shopping trips. The Hello Kitty Mini Cafe is slated to open to the public on Friday, April 7th, at Westfield Santa Anita shopping center in Arcadia, CA, and will be located in Central Court on the first floor of the mall.
Housed in a pink and white structure adorned with supercute images of Hello Kitty, the Hello Kitty Mini Cafe will offer sweets for Sanrio fans of all ages. Hello Kitty and her friends will welcome them into a highly engaging space featuring modern design, bold character graphics embellishing exterior panels, a colorful awning and tempting display cases teeming with goodies made fresh daily.
“We have seen great success and high demand from fans of all ages enjoying the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck and Pop-Up Container,” said David Marchi, Vice President of Brand Management and Marketing at Sanrio. “We are expanding the Cafe concept further with additional locations and formats to bring the experience to even more fans. Westfield Santa Anita is the perfect location for us to debut the newest Cafe extension while providing supercute and delicious treats in a fast-casual environment.”
The menu will feature delectably adorable pies, tarts, cookies, pastries and cakes; signature menu items similar to those offered at the Hello Kitty Cafe Pop-Up Container that opened July 2016 at Irvine Spectrum Center. In addition, the Hello Kitty Mini Cafe will serve up a variety of hot and cold beverages; as well as collectible Hello Kitty Cafe merchandise including t-shirts and mugs. All pastries are handmade fresh daily; the menu will evolve seasonally to offer freshness and newness to fans.
Sanrio’s additional Hello Kitty Cafe endeavors include the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck, which made its debut in November 2014; and the Hello Kitty Cafe Pop-Up Container at the Irvine Spectrum Center in Irvine, CA. The trucks cruise across the country, charmingly satisfying the appetites of Sanrio fans nationwide. A second Hello Kitty Cafe Truck was introduced in early February to serve East Coast fans.
