Seasons 52 announces the appointment of Timothy Kast as executive chef partner of Seasons 52 Santa Monica, which is opening March 28, 2013, and is located at Palisades Promenade in the heart of vibrant Downtown Santa Monica, just two blocks from iconic Santa Monica Pier, the beach and the Pacific Ocean.
Kast will spearhead all culinary operations and management functions at the new Seasons 52 Santa Monica including developing weekly seasonal specials to be served in the dining room and on the expansive ocean-view patio, as well as customizing menus for diners in the three private dining rooms and for the chef interactive events at the Chef’s Table.
Previous to his most recent two and a half year tenure as executive chef partner at Seasons 52 South Coast Plaza, Kast, a native of Newport Beach, Calif., had worked in the industry for over 15 years. He was executive sous chef of 555 East American Steakhouse in Long Beach, Calif. He also served as executive sous chef of The Pacific Club in Newport Beach; executive chef of Turner New Zealand at South Coast Plaza; and executive chef of the Merage Jewish Community Center of Orange County in Irvine, Calif., where he oversaw the cafe and catering operations.
Kast is a graduate of the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco.
