The Naked Grape Reveals Its Peel It Off to Give Back Program

The average U.S. household discards around 700 pieces of clothing and textiles annually. Had they been donated, these pieces would make a one-to-one impact on someone in need instead of ending up in a landfill. For this, The Naked Grape is proud to present Peel It Off to Give Back, a program in partnership with Clothes4Soulsâ„¢, a national nonprofit program that collects gently worn clothing for those in need.

Throughout 2013, The Naked Grape will make it easy and convenient to “peel it off to give back. After unpeeling and uncorking a bottle of The Naked Grape, individuals are encouraged to keep and send back the outer foil capsules using a pre-paid envelope found attached to select bottles. For each capsule collected between March 1 and August 31, 2013, The Naked Grape will donate $5 to support Clothes4Souls’ relief efforts, up to $50,000.

Additionally, the Peel It Off to Give Back program will travel to three cities to encourage people to “bare it all and give back in the process. The Naked Grape and Clothes4Souls will host “Sip & Swap clothing donation events where guests are encouraged to donate their gently worn clothing and swap it for something “new to you, all while enjoying a glass of The Naked Grape wine. All remaining clothing will go to Clothes4Souls as The Naked Grape works toward its goal of 5,000 pieces of clothing collected in 2013.
