Huntington Beach newcomer Mama’s on 39 recently donated approximately $6,414.29 to local schools and organizations as part of their “Mama’s Gives Back Days.” On the promotion days, the OC restaurant gives 30 percent of each guest’s check to a good cause. The restaurant has paved the way through its generous campaign by aiming to boost school and community-oriented programs that have suffered because of state budget cuts. The “Give Back Days” happen at Mama’s on 39 at least once a month with a first-come first-serve basis for the school or community program that wants to reap the benefits.

“I am a longtime resident and as a one-year-old restaurant here in Huntington Beach, we are very supportive of all of our local schools, sports groups and non-profit organizations,” says owner Pete Truxaw.”We know we can help raise much-needed funds for causes and our guests can enjoy a great meal as well.”
