The world famous Goodfella’s of Staten Island announced the launching of its new website and the Pizza School of New York, which will be one of the most comprehensive pizza schools and websites in the country, focusing on the art of wood fried pizza, gourmet breads, custom brick ovens, revolving brick ovens, and complete consulting on how to open a pizza restaurant.
“We will be running the school from our original location at 1718 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, New York. It will be a completely hands-on experience turning pizza makers from all over the world into gourmet artisans who will master the art of wood fired pizza,” says Founder of Goodfella’s, Scot Cosentino. “We also will be focusing on gourmet breads, sauce making and offer a variety of services from brick oven skills, to complete consulting on startup operations. We currently have students from all over the world and are helping many people make their dreams come true.”
Goodfella’s was founded in 1992 and has been an industry trendsetter and leader in gourmet brick oven pizza since its inception. The restaurant took first prize at the 3-day long International Pizza Expo of Las Vegas earlier this year, the world’s largest international pizza contest, winning a $10,000 dollar reward.
“The gourmet pizza took the competition by storm. A unique pie made with nothing but the best of the best ingredients,” says Goodfella’s “Pizza Master,” Andrew Scudera.
The restaurant has won other national and international prizes for its gourmet creations as well, for dishes like the Vodka Pie, Smokin Goodfella, and Sally Pie, and has been known as a local celebrity hot spot for years.
