Skuna Bay Salmon will host a semi-final competition in Downtown Los Angeles to determine one finalist to compete at the Taste of Derby, a Kentucky Derby Culinary Experience at the Kentucky Derby in May.
Five chefs will prepare and present their best dish using Skuna Bay, Vancouver Island Craft Raised Salmon to celebrity Chefs Stephanie Izard and Jennifer Jasinski, who will determine the finalist. The chefs have already passed through an initial competition where they submitted their best Skuna Bay Salmon dish at one of nine regional semi-final competitions.
The two finalists in the Taste of Derby competition will be mentored by either Chef Izard or Chef Jasinski before competing at the Kentucky Derby in Louisville, KY in May. The winner of the Taste of Derby will be recognized nationally in a two-page spread in Saveur Magazine.
