El-Rabaa brings with him more than 24 years of hospitality-industry experience to his role as general manager having most recently served as hotel manager of The Meritage Resort and Spa, a 322 room luxury resort in Napa, Calif.
El-Rabaa will be responsible for overseeing the general operations of the 159-room resort, as well as the continued renovations throughout the property, including the lobby and the hotel’s restaurants, First Cabin Restaurant and The Bar, formerly known as Duke’s Place. Prior to joining Pacific Hospitality Group and The Meritage Resort and Spa team he served as director of operations for the Lafayette Park Hotel & Spa in Northern California, and numerous executive level positions with Renaissance Hotels & Resorts. His strengths and hands-on experience include a deep knowledge of hotel operations, a passion for food and beverage, and a dynamic and thoughtful leadership style.
El-Rabaa received his Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from the University of Arizona and is a Certified Food & Beverage Executive, AH & MA. He enjoys being an active member in numerous community organizations and is looking forward to continuing his involvement in Newport Beach.
